CONVENT OF MARSHALS OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND - NATIONAL FORUM FOR LIFELONG GUIDANCE POLICY
The standpoint of the Convent of Marshals of the Republic of Poland in Rawa Mazowiecka on the need for integration of vocational counselling in Poland.
Convent of Marshals acknowledging the role of human potential as a foundation of the knowledge society and creation of knowledge regions, on the basis of social unity where vocational counselling is the tool of implementation of lifelong education strategy:
- enables the citizens to identify their skills and professional interests at any stage of their life and assists them in making decisions concerning job training and careers;
- assists especially young people in transition from educational area to labour market;
- prevents social exclusion;
- reduces the emigration of job seeking Polish youth;
- appeals to the Government and Parliament of Republic of Poland to make a concerted effort in creating and functioning an efficient vocational counselling system according to the European Council Resolution of 28 May 2004.
